  • Biography:
    • Nguyen Minh Thanh was born in 1971 in Kim Lan village near Hanoi.  
    • He graduated from The Fine Arts University of Hanoi in 1996.  
    • He works mainly with Chinese ink and hand-made paper.  The subjects he draws are real people and animals in dream-like worlds of children's songs.   
    • He is now living in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

    At the turn of the century , Nguyen Minh Thanh's art work illustrates how the traditional can be wedded so smoothly  with the modern . Just out of school , he had to his credit two solo exhibitions , both installation work.To Thanh , all beauty seems to present itself in the eternally comforting form of early recollections.In Thanh,s words,installations as well as individual pieces, there are lots of self-portraits in which he invariably appears as a little boy...
