- Article: Once
we accept all preoccupations with artistic research, we
concurrently understand that the goal of art never consists in
chasing after some school .
To
us, amid successive breakdowns of formulae, late insistences on
meanings and unceasing , gnawing qualms of conscience, Duong Ngoc
Canh’s flowers, fruit and Landscapes emerge, delicious,
exquisite, sere- ne . It seems that their colors are potentially
more fervid, their virtuous bodies promise sweeter honey and the
light from that sky above will grow more benevolent and
more intimate-an aesthetical community, harmonious and full
of peaceful joy, apiece of land still fertile of awakening and
gnosis.
Those tranquil and sincere paintings of Duong Ngoc Canh
constitute a refuge for himself, a basis for a joy to live and
stead-fastly plug away at his work.
Not
to care the least for a success-or-failure end, that is his
comfort with regard to us and the present, very kindly.
